William E. Arflack and Willa Belle Arflack of Marion, KY., who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 22, 2007. They were married in Marion in 1947. They owned and operated one of the first TV and appliance stores in Marion for several years along with raising and showing champion Fox-trotting show horses.
Mr. Arflack retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural letter carrier, and Mrs.Arflack retired from the local Production Credit Association office in Marion. Mrs. Arflack enjoys gardening as a hobby, and is a member of the local Home-makers Club. Mr. Arflack, a World War II veteran, is an accomplished stained glass window maker.
They have been members of Marion Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Mr. Arflack is the son of the late George and Deedie Arflack. He was raised in the Mattoon area.
Mrs. Arflack is the daughter of the late Ray and Dezzie Horning. She was raised in Marion. They raised three children, the late William Ray Arflack, Mary Jo Delaney of Louisville and Donald G. Arflack of Marion.
They have two granddaughters, three step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
The couple resides in Marion where they have lived at the same address for 50 years.
